Welcome to Thinking Fitness at Plympton. Located in the beautiful suburb of Plympton, Devon, Thinking Fitness is based on the Plympton Academy site, providing an amazing range of gym facilities to students and local community alike.
Thinking Fitness gyms are a unique, non-profit service, working closely with schools and recycling funds back into the education of local students. By joining one of our gyms you are helping provide a better future for our children and transforming their life chances.
Our doors are open to anyone who would like to join, and with no long-term commitment adult and junior memberships available, there is something to suit everyone's needs. Members enjoy access to all our state-of-the-art Matrix gym equipment as well as our full class timetable, in an air-conditioned gym with a real friendly, community feel.
Junior memberships are available to children ages 11+ for a lower monthly cost. Junior members are invited to attend the gym between 4:30pm and 6pm on weekdays and all day on weekends.
Thinking Fitness at Plympton is fitted with the latest, state-of-the-art equipment to help you on your fitness journey. Our gym is divided into dedicated workout areas for cardiovascular training, free weights training, resistance training and multifunctional exercises. The air-conditioned gym has everything you need to keep fit including elliptical trainers, tread machines, cycle trainers and rowing machines.
We are excited to have introduced class timetable to the Plympton gym for the first time. Take some time off the gym floor and sign on to one of our classes, all included in your membership price.

We are more than just a gym. Our Thinking Lettings service offers the option to hire out a selection of our facilities to the local community and further afield. Whether you are a dance school needing a performance space or you run a Thursday evening 5-a-side football club, we have the facilities for you.

Hi I'm Ross, I joined Thinking Fitness at Plympton in June 2021 as the Sports Centre and Lettings Manager and I am in the process of obtaining my Level 4 Master Practitioner and Strength and Conditioning!
I've always had a strong interest in health and fitness and sport generally, having played semi professional football in my younger days, and I'm really driven to help grow and develop the gym here at Plympton and ensure that your time spent at our gym is a positive, productive and an enjoyable experience.
